Dear friends, We have already begun Lent. The current situation of society and the world should not distract us from what is most important: living in union with Our Lord and preparing ourselves for Easter by penance, that is, with a conversion of heart. During the "strong" liturgical seasons, it helps to make a resolution. This could be to dedicate more time to prayer, to pray the daily rosary, or to do some penance or fasting. Whatever it be, we do so not to be seen by others but by God alone Who will reward us in secret. It is a time to enter into our heart and find Him. We must be especially attentive to not let ourselves be carried away by the mundane, worldly and horizontal view, but to raise our gaze to Heaven. It is a time of recollection, that is, to meditate within our heart, striving for constant conversation with the One who loves us. We can talk with Him and with Our Mother whenever we want. |
