Dear friends:
At the end of February the Lenten season began. This is a beautiful time to get closer to the Lord and Our Blessed Mother. The words of Mary at the end of the second message, "Meditate on the Passion of Jesus," resonate loudly in our hearts. It is true, we must think about and meditate on the Passion. Saint John Paul II said, "Only in the dead and risen Christ is there salvation and redemption." We must approach the mystery of God's love, and in this light see how we can respond to this great love. We must draw near to the mystery of God's love to see how we can respond to it. We cannot not respond to it. In our poverty and smallness He asks us for our hearts. He looks at us and asks, "Do you love me?" Let us respond to this love not only with words but with deeds striving to live a more holy, more honest and religious life in all areas, being consistent and faithful to God who loves us so much.
