From the Hymn AKATHISTOS to the Mother of God:
"Rejoice, Nourishment, successor to manna.
Rejoice, Minister of holy joy.
Rejoice, Land of promise.
Rejoice, you from whom flows milk and honey.
Rejoice, Virgin and Spouse!."
From the saints:
"Mary, then, is the one who has the deepest knowledge of the mystery of God's mercy. She knows its price, she knows how great it is. In this sense, we call her the Mother of mercy." (Saint John Paul II)
God shows his mercy to sinners by calling them to conversion. This is what he did with Adam after the first sin: “Adam, where are you?”
God has done the same with you many times. Perhaps you ran from his voice, but he continued to seek you and call you. Consider how He does this through his mother. Many times she has come to encourage us towards repentance, conversion. She is the true Mother of Mercy.
Repeat the words inscribed on the Miraculous Medal: “Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.”
