From the Hymn AKATHISTOS to the Mother of God:
"Rejoice, tree of shining fruit, whereby the faithful are nourished:
Rejoice, tree of goodly shade by which many are sheltered!
Rejoice, Thou that has carried in Thy womb the Redeemer of captives:
Rejoice, Thou that gavest birth to the Guide of those astray!"
From the saints:
"Mary is my Instructress, who is ever teaching me how to live for God. My spirit brightens up in Your gentleness and Your humility, O Mary." (St. Faustina Kowalska)
To live for God. Have you thought enough about what that means? Today think and meditate on what it means, looking at your teacher, Mary. It is not easy to live only for God because so much distracts us from Him; and because the devil tries to fill our hearts with things other than God and which separate us from Him and His will. No, it is not easy. But it is not impossible either. Examine whether you really make an effort to live for Him. If you see that you do not, do not be discouraged; renew your baptismal promise and begin again.
Today offer a rosary to Our Lady for the soul most in need, perhaps unknown to you, but not to her.
