Dear friends, We have begun the month of May, the month dedicated to the Virgin Mary, our Mother. It is a time to be filled with holy desires to please our Blessed Mother in everything, a month to bring her spiritual flowers: sacrifices, praises, and prayers, and fill everything with her presence. Perhaps now it is not so easy in some parts of the world to gather to pray the May flowers or do other acts proper to the month of May, however, this does not prevent us from praying in our homes, or while we work or study, and we can strive to keep Our Mother present throughout the day. It might be helpful during this month to do some Marian reading such as True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin, by St. Louis de Montfort, or read about one of the many Marian apparitions. On our website during the month of May you can find short meditations, prayers, and resolutions for each day of May. God bless you, Garabandal.it Team |
Marian thought for the month of MayThis month's thought is from a venerable who died young and whose devotion to Our Lady filled her with enormous confidence of reaching Heaven.

Mense maioThe encyclical letter of St. Paul VI about the month of May, the month of Mary, brings some words that are certainly very timely for today. It is an invitation to pray to Our Lady in the month of May. He says, "Since Mary is rightly to be regarded as the way by which we are led to Christ, the person who encounters Mary cannot help but encounter Christ likewise.” He continues: "Looking at the present needs of the Church and the status of world peace, we have sound reasons to believe that the present hour is especially grave and that a plea for concerted prayer on the part of all Christians is a matter of top priority.” We can consider the present moment as “particularly grave” so we can therefore apply the words “matter of top priority.” It is of top priority that we pray and ask the Lord through the Virgin Mary for mercy. |
“She is going to burn her hand.”Those of us present believed that if she held the light bulb in her hand for too long, it would burn. Her mother said: "For God's sake, she is going to burn her hand.”
